Guide Experience:

Began guiding year round here in the Vail Valley in 1987. Administrated over 10,000 fly fishing trips, some as large as 500 people, have logged over 20,000 plus river miles on the Eagle, Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers. Developed curricula for week long guide and rowing schools while teaching more than 1000 people how to row and guide professionally. Developed and instructed accredited fly fishing class for Colorado Mountain College

Fishing Experience:

Member Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and Colorado Master Angler. International Game Fish Association world record awarded for a Kokanee Salmon caught in the South Platte River here in Colorado.

Exotic Experience

Landed a Hammerhead Shark on a fly in Boca Grande Florida. Atlantic salmon in New Brunswick, Canada. Roosterfish in the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. Squawfish here in the Colorado River.

Favorite Thing About Guiding:

Meeting new people and facing new challenges every day, seeing old friends return to fish the area again and teaching people about the greatest sport in the world in God’s own office.
