Vail Valley Anglers Guide

Hometown:

Hudson, WI

Guide Experience:

This is my first season guiding with Vail Valley Anglers!

Fishing Experience:

I’ve been fishing for around twenty years. Growing up a short walk from the St. Croix River, I’ve had the opportunity to target many warm water species from an early age. About 4 years ago, I picked up a fly rod for the first time and started to learn more about this method of fishing, and the behavior of trout specifically. Over the past few years I’ve been able to spend many hours targeting trout on the small, technical streams of the Driftless Area. Additionally, trips to Great Lakes tributaries in search of King and Coho Salmon, as well as migratory Rainbow Trout have helped me learn even more about these types of fish. I’m excited to not only pass on my knowledge but continue to learn about the many different fisheries around the Rocky Mountains.

Exotic Experience

While visiting New Zealand for college, I had the opportunity to spend a day in search of their legendary Brown Trout!
