REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE INITIATIVE:

On all of our guided trips if you bring a reusable water bottle you will receive a FREE Vail Valley Anglers FishFirst hat. With hydration being a concern on the water our guides go through numerous plastic water bottles a day. With this program we engage the customer to take part in our sustainability efforts in order to "kick plastic." All we ask is to bring you reusable water bottle and we'll give you a free hat as a way of saying thanks!

BIKE & FISH TRIPS:

Who needs a car?? We are conveniently located along the Eagle River which gives us the opportunity to take clients out on our E-Bikes for a fishing experience unparalleled to anything before. No fossil fuels are burned, cutting down on our carbon footprint as a business. Book your Bike & Fish adventure with us today.

RIVER GUIDE EDUCATION:

Our guides are certified through the Eagle River Watershed Council program called the River Guide Certification. The certification provides the guides with the knowledge to understand the local watersheds and their importance to us as a community.

SUSTAINABLE FISH HANDLING PRACTICES:

Our guides practice catch and release while taking clients out on the water. They also use barbless hooks and practice "Keep em' Wet," which involves keeping the fish in water as much as possible when handling. All of these practices help the ecosystem thrive for future generations to enjoy them.

ON THE WATER EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP:

The guides at VVA strive to educate the clients of the current issues relating to sustainability like water usage, fish handling, agency involvement. The simple act of picking up trash while out on the water empowers our customers to be conscious of the natural resources and their importance to our business.
