Trip Details

Every specialty trip includes a clean pair of Simms waders and wading boots, a cooler full of bottled water, fly rods and reels, and an experienced, friendly fly fishing guide. Due to current county and state COVID restrictions on transportation, we currently cannot drive people to and from the river. All full-day trips include a freshly prepared streamside lunch. Lunch can be added to any half-day trip for a fee. Some of the speciality trips are specific times of day and different hours, please look at the details for each trip.

Guided trips do not include a Colorado fishing license or guide gratuity. All trip participants over the age of 16 are required to carry a valid Colorado fishing license with them while fishing. Also, we strongly encourage all of our trip participants to purchase their license online prior to their trip in order to save time and get on the water sooner.

Guided fly fishing trips go out rain or shine, and afternoon showers are common throughout the summer months. Please come prepared with an extra pair of socks, sunglasses, a hat, and a light rain jacket.

At Vail Valley Anglers, safety is our top priority, which is why drugs are not permitted on any of our fly fishing trips. We reserve the right to cancel any trip that becomes unsafe or unfishable. We will reschedule your class for a future date and try to make accommodations to your schedule, taking into consideration that the summer season is our busiest time of the year.
