Streamer Clinic

Are you tired of paying premium prices for streamers? Learn how to tie your own! In this clinic we will be learning how to tie meaty streamers to target the hogs in the river. We will learn how to create articulated streamers and how to work with dubbing loops. We will also being going over how to properly weight your flies and what materials, beads, and hooks to use. This is an intermediate to advanced level clinic that will last three hours, please have the basic tying techniques dialed in before signing up for this course.

Euro Nymph Clinic

If fishing sharp barbless jig hooks with tungsten beads is your thing, then this clinic is for you! Euro nymphs have been a deadly weapon for us guides and the best part is that they are relatively easy to tie. In this clinic, we will be discussing and demonstrating the process of tying these deadly morsels over a three hour time frame. You will learn how to properly set a slotted bead on your jig hook and what ingredients we use to make these flies work for the rivers in Colorado. Please have prior tying experience because this is an intermediate to advanced level clinic.

Foam Fly Clinic

Do you like fishing large foam hoppers in the hot days of summer, or using it as an indicator fly in a hopper/dropper rig? Have you ever wondered how to tie a foam mouse to attract large brown trout at dusk? If you answered yes to any of these, then this is the class for you. We will be tying a hopper pattern and a great mouse pattern in this class. Please have prior tying experience because this is an intermediate to advanced level clinic.

Additional Class Information:

The courses begin at 5:30 pm and are around 2-3 hours long. Please arrive at Vail Valley Anglers retail store around 5:00 pm to get settled in. The class will take place in the Vail Valley Anglers Learning Center which is located directly behind the retail store. The class includes all materials needed in the course.
